Mumbai, 21 Oct 2020 – Sony Music India (SMI) announced today an exclusive recording agreement with music composer Amaal Mallik. Mallik signed exclusively to Sony Music India as a singer as well as performer for his non-film pop debut. The award-winning artist garners more than 10 million listeners on Spotify and JioSaavn alone. His music has also hit nearly three billion plays on Gaana.
Composer, singer and lyricist Amaal Mallik has delivered some of Bollywood’s biggest chartbusters, for films like Kabir Singh, M S Dhoni The Untold Story, Airlift, and Kapoor & Sons.
Mallik has won a number of prominent music awards including Filmfare (2016 and 2020), IIFA (2016, 2018 & 2019), GiMA (2016), Mirchi Music Awards (2016, 2019 and 2020). He has also performed live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Amaal’s fans are looking forward to his pop debut post his SMI agreement. The renowned musician will also continue working as a music director on film projects.
