Kriti Sanon And Pankaj Tripathi Come Together For Dinesh Vijan’s Mimi

Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi have come together previously for hit films like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi.

 

 

Pankaj Tripathi and Kriti Sanon will now come together for Dinesh Vijan’s next Mimi. It is based on the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhaaychya.

The Marathi film Mala Aai Vhaaycha won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2011.

Confirming the news Dinesh Vijan says,

“There’s a thrill in telling poignant stories and then there’s a thrill in telling ones that are based on true events. Mimi is one such tale. It’s a story that struck a chord with me, it explores a beautiful relationship between a woman who never wanted to be a mother and one who can’t wait to be one. What’s unexpected about the story is the humorous vein that runs through it and that’s what makes Mimi exciting! It’s also great to be back with Laxman sir, Kriti and Pankaj after Luka Chuppi and we hope to repeat that success!”

 

Kriti Sanon apart from Mimi also has films like Housefull 4 and Panipat. Housefull 4 stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, Kriti Sanon, Chunkey Panday and Pooja Hegde. Panipat stars Arjun Kapoor along with Kriti Sanon.

Pankaj Tripathi apart from Mimi has films like Kargil Girl, ’83 which is based on the success of India’s 1983 world cup win. The star will also feature in Angrezi Medium, Drive, Dhaka, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Ajmeri Baba and Panga.

Maddock film along with Jio Studios is going to produce the film.
