Kapil Sharma: We Bet You Didn’t Know These Facts About The Comedian

Kapil Sharma, I don’t think anyone would be unfamiliar with this name. Since 2007, this man is been making everyone laugh and go gaga over his comic timings. We all know that Kapil rose to fame from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. The guy struggled a lot to be what he is now. He had to go through many ups and downs but still, he continued to make everyone laugh and that is what sets him apart from the rest.

Today on Kapil Sharma’s 38th birthday we at UrbanAsian would like to list down 5 things about the comedian that not much are aware of.

 

  1. Family background:

 

We all know that Kapil is from Punjab but did we know that his father Jeetendra Kumar Punj was a head constable in the Punjab Police. His mother was a housewife and he has a brother, Ashok Kumar Sharma, who is a Police constable. He also has a sister named Pooja Pawan Devgan. Kapil’s father had died of Cancer in 2004 in Delhi.

 

  1. Career:

 

We all know that Kapil rose to fame from The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 but did we all know that he previously worked in the Punjabi show Hasde Hasande Ravo on MH One channel.

 

  1. Involvement:

 

Besides making the audiences go ROFL, Kapil has also appeared in a PETA campaign to promote adoption of homeless cats and dogs. He is known for promoting animal rights. Infact in 2014, he adopted a homeless dog sxheuc who was a retired police dog from Mumbai. He was also nominated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

  1. Movies:

 

Kapil made his Bollywood debut from Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karu in 2015 but the actor had also appeared in Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2 and Sunil Pal’s Bhavnao Ko Samjho in a cameo.

 

  1. Producer:

 

Kapil Sharma is the producer of his latest show, The Kapil Sharma Show but he has also produced a Punjabi film, Son of Manjeet Singh in 2018.
