- Taare Zameen Par: (2007)
Directed and produced by Aamir Khan, Taare Zameen Par explores the life and imagination of Ishaan, an 8-year-old dyslexic child. The film received numerous awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Film for 2008 and the 2008 National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare. It was India’s official entry for the 2009 Academy Awards Best Foreign Film but did not progress to the short-list.
- Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na: (2008)
Written and directed by Abbas Tyrewala, it was produced by Aamir Khan, the film received positive reviews and was successful at the box office. Aamir introduced Imran Khan and Prateik Babbar in this film.
- Delhi Belly: (2011)
Written by Akshat Verma, directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Aamir Khan, the film was given an ‘A’ certificate for its profanity and sexual content. The film’s original version was in English and was dubbed in Hindi. The film was remade in Tamil as Settai. The film grossed ₹550 million (US$7.7 million) in India by the end of its third week, being declared a super hit.
- Dangal: (2016)
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan, Dangal won four awards: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor (Khan) and Best Action (Shyam) at the 62nd Filmfare Awards. The film was a record-breaking commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever, the fifth highest grossing non-English film ever, and the highest-grossing sports film worldwide. The film has also been watched more than 400 million times on Chinese streaming platforms.
- Secret Superstar: (2017)
Written and directed by Advait Chandan, and produced by Aamir Khan, the film deals with social issues including feminism, gender equality, and domestic violence. The film received positive reviews from critics. Secret Superstar became one of the most profitable films of all time.
