The concept of this show is about the issue of Triple Talaaq. It is based on the backdrop of Lucknow. The story of “Ishq Subhan Allah” revolves around two people having a different perspective from each other.
The two main characters have different personalities. One of which is Zara Siddiqui (Eisha Singh), who is an open-minded Muslim woman who fights for people’s rights. She completed her Islamic Studies and has returned to Lucknow after 5 years. The other character is Kabir Ahmad (Adnan Khan), who is a culture-driven and a conservative young Mawlawi. He has also returned back home to Lucknow, after completing his studies in Maulvi practice.
Kabir’s traditional views and Zara’s modern perspective towards Islam causes their initial spark of attraction when they met to die out and clash with each other. Due to circumstances, they both end up getting married for the sake of their parents’ dignity. Although, they did attempt to prevent this marriage from happening with their best friends.
Despite the rushed forced marriage, Kabir’s parents, (Vinay Jain) and (Gunn Kansara) convinces both Zara and Kabir to go to Kashmir for their honeymoon. While exploring the beautiful region, Zara gets kidnapped by Siraj (Piyush Sahdev), an underworld Don with the help of Rukhsar (Shipsy Rana) who wants to marry Kabir. Zara is saved by Kabir. This results in Zara and Kabir’s relationship to blossom, and Zara finds out that it was Rukhsar who made her fake profile. Zara and Kabir are now friends, but Zara is totally in love with Kabir. Returning home Rukhsar was shocked that Zara came back thinking she would be with Siraj. Zara and Kabir are closer now. Soon after Kazi Irfan Siddiqui decides to make Kabir Shear Kazi, but on one condition which is that Rukhsar must be out of their lives forever. So Kabir’s father decides to get Rukhsar married. So Rukhsar is mad so she decides to create a barrier between Zara and Kabir’s life by using Kabir’s ego against Zare.
Kabir keeps telling Zara to be like his mother but she always responds with “when she tells me to then I will change myself”. Kabir starts a new project but needs an investor and after Zara decides to use her meher cheque he says he will not take help from his wife. Rukhsar makes a plan with Meraj a man she finds for Kabir as an investor and they go to meet him. Zara is worried so she teams up with Kabir’s mother, Imran, and Reema and they pretend that she fainted just to get Kabir to come home and leave Rukhsar. Zara dresses like a bride and waits for Kabir and when he comes in he thinks and realizes it’s his farz and his wife has the right so he sleeps with her but she thinks it’s because he loves her but it is because it was his farz and he didn’t want to be the criminal in Allah’s eyes which makes Zara sad.
