Birthday Special: 5 Times Pankaj Kapur Won Us With His Splendid Acting

We have many actors who ace in particular genres, but veteran actor Pankaj Kapur is on another level! The actors isn’t only known for his fabulous comic timing in Office Office but also as the villainous Jamwal from Dus.

The three-time National Award winner is the also the father of Shahid Kapoor. Today on the actor’s birthday, we take a look at some of the roles he played on screen where we were bowled over by his acting.

Raakh (1989)

In this 1989 crime thriller co-starring Aamir Khan, Pankaj was seen in a supporting role as the revenge-seeking, dark mentor to Aamir. His amazing performance in this movie won him the National Awards for a Supporting role.

Ek Doctor Ki Maut (1990)

Pankaj Kapur as Dr. Dipankar Roy – a junior doctor who only want to work for the better for society and mankind, being harassed for making groundbreaking professional discoveries won our hearts. This movie garnered appraisals for the cast and the film, director and actor went on to win the National Film Award.

Office Office (2001)

All you 80’s and 90’s kids out there, we bet you remember this hilarious sitcom that aired during the days on SabTV. The show saw Bollywood actor Pankaj Kapur essaying the role of Mussadilal.

Maqbool (2003)

In this not so commercially successful film also featuring Irrfan Khan and Tabu, Pankaj Kapur played an underworld don, Jahangir Khan who died at the hands of his mistress and right-hand man. Pankaj won a National Award for his supporting role in this film as well.

Dus (2005)

As the notorious criminal Jamwal, he was the main highlight of the multi starrer Dus. He won our hearts in this grey – or actually black – character role.
