Actor Patrali Chattopadhyay, who is part of Nikhil Sinha’s Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta, says that she is thrilled to be seen in the costume drama.
“I love historical and mythological shows mainly because of beautiful getups and larger than life treatments. So I’m happy to be a part of it,” she says.
Of course, the show has its challenges as well.
“The toughest task till now has been the sword fighting sequence with Virendra, wearing a very heavy lehenga. But it was fun as I always wanted to learn that,” she says.
She is a seasoned actor now, but it has taken her sometime to get here. Talking about her first shot in front of the camera, she says,
“I had no knowledge about facing the camera, I turned against light and started delivering the dialogue. Everybody started laughing, it was very embarrassing.”
Talking about the kind of roles she wants to take up in the future, Patrali says that they must challenge her acting abilities.
“I want to try out different kind of roles and different characters, which make me work hard as an actor. Of course, like I have always said, I prefer the action genre where my character gets to do a few stunts,” she says.
Meanwhile, Patrali makes sure to take out time to relax whenever she can.
“I love watching movies and TV series specifically short films. I also like reading books whenever I get some time,” she says.
