Madhur Bhandarkar has once again come up with a film based on real-life events. This time he has chosen the emergency period of India to narrate his story, in the form of ‘Indu Sarkar’.
Here, Neil Nitin Mukesh is the bad guy (he literally orders his men to get 7000 males to undergo vasectomy), and there is only a dark phase; thanks to the Emergency period. Commoners are killed every single day, on the assumptions of them being Naxalites.
In this dark historical drama, there comes a ray of hope in the form of Anupam Kher, who helps Kirti Kulhari find her sunshine and fight back the system.
While Anupam Kher has a lesser screen presence, and Neil is not yet very scary as the bad guy, Kirti is the one who is shining brightly in the trailer, and we are expecting a lot more from the movie.
