Bollywood’s lovely mom, Reema Lagoo (Salman Khan’s mother in ‘Maine Pyaari Kiya’, Shah Rukh Khan’s mother in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ and Akshay Kumar’s mother in ‘Jai Kishan’), who also made her name through TV serials Tu Tu Main Main and Srimaan Srimati, breathed her last at 3.15 AM IST.
The 59-year-old complained of chest pain at midnight IST and was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital shortly after, where she was declared dead.
Confirming the same, her son-in-law Vinay Waikul quoted, “She was complaining of chest pain so we took her to hospital around 1 AM. She passed away due to a heart attack around 3.15 AM. She was perfectly fine and had no health issues. So it is really shocking for all of us that she is no more with us.”
The four-time Filmfare Award winner for best actress is survived by daughter Mrunmayee, who is also a theatre and film actor and theatre director.
