Donal Bisht recently opened up about one of the most significant crossroads in her career and revealed how an opportunity from Yash Raj Films unexpectedly paved the way for her television journey.

While discussing her career, Donal recalled being shortlisted for a primary character in a Yash Raj project following an extensive audition process that lasted nearly one to two months.
After going through multiple rounds, she reached the final look test and was with the director when she received an unexpected call from Sony.
“I got a call from Sony saying, ‘You are selected, and the shooting starts in a week.’ I honestly didn’t know what to do,” Donal recalled.
With two major opportunities in front of her, Donal decided to speak to the Yash Raj team. The team not only understood her dilemma but also verified the Sony offer before advising her to take up the television project.
“They told me, ‘You go and do this show because it’s a lead. After that, whenever you want to come back to us, come back,’” she shared.
Looking back, Donal feels that the decision played a crucial role in shaping her career. “In a way, Yash Raj has actually got me into TV,” she said, expressing gratitude for the encouragement she received at a crucial stage of her professional journey.
The actress also believes that the choice helped her grow as an actor. According to Donal, had she taken up the film at that point, she may not have had the experience and maturity she eventually developed through television.
“Maybe at that time, if I had done that film, I wasn’t that good an actor. I feel maybe my career wouldn’t have progressed in a better way,” she explained.
Today, Donal feels that the experiences she has accumulated over the years have given her stronger roots and greater confidence as an artist. “Now, when my grounding is better and my roots are strong, whatever I do will happen in a better way and will be more lasting,” she concluded.
What once appeared to be a difficult career decision ultimately became a turning point for Donal Bisht, opening the doors to television and helping her evolve into the actor she is today.
