Akanksha Chamola has emerged as one of the strongest voices on Lock Upp 2. In the latest episode, where Gaurav Khanna entered the house to support her, Akanksha stood firm and owned her decision with honesty and dignity.
Speaking about the public reaction to her separation, Akanksha said, “I don’t understand why divorce is such a big issue. Two mature individuals can decide that they’re better off taking different paths. It doesn’t always have to be about blame or controversy.”
Reflecting on the past year, she shared that despite constant speculation and trolling surrounding her marriage, she consciously chose to remain silent. “For over a year, people said so many things about me. They made assumptions, judged me, and questioned my marriage. I never reacted because I wanted to deal with my personal life with dignity. I chose silence over explanations.”
Akanksha also pointed out the irony of public opinion, saying that even when she and Gaurav were happily together, people found reasons to troll them, and now that they have mutually decided to separate, the judgment continues. “It makes me wonder if a woman is ever allowed to make a decision without being questioned.”
Reiterating that the decision was made after mutual understanding, Akanksha added that she and Gaurav have already discussed everything and will take the next steps with maturity once she is out of the house. Through her journey on Lock Upp, Akanksha has chosen to own her truth with grace, proving that honesty and self-respect can be the strongest response to public scrutiny.
