This week’s Bigg Boss episodes showed the entire house against contestant Farrhana Bhatt, after she shredded contestant Neelam Giri’s family letter during a captaincy task. Several contestants in the house, specifically Amaal Malik, Baseer Ali, Shehbaz Badesha, and Malti Chahar hurled verbal abuses at Bhatt for shredding the letter — including wishing death on her, slut shaming her, and calling her and her mother B-grade people. Malik even went so far as to grab her dinner out of her hands and throw her plate on the ground.
Netizens expressed their anger at the contestants for bullying Bhatt, and pointed out that her own friend Nehal Chudasama didn’t stand up for her when the others were against her, all for a letter. Viewers call out Chudasama for being hypocritical when saying she stands up for women when she didn’t stand against the three men shouting at Bhatt and throwing abuses against her.
Over the past two days, netizens have stood behind Bhatt’s decision to shred the letter, as it was a task created by Bigg Boss and she was just completing her task to stay in the race for captaincy. As Neelam Giri and Bhatt aren’t close friends in the house, viewers question why the housemates are shocked she chose to shred the letter for the task, and call out Malik for his outrageous behavior over a letter that wasn’t even from his family.
Equations are constantly changing in the house, and it seems like Bhatt is a lone wolf against a majority of the house, excluding Mridul Tiwari and Gaurav Khanna. Bhatt has been a strong player in the house since her return when she was evicted by the housemates on the second day, and many viewers want her to win the trophy.
