‘Saiyaara’ produced by YRF and directed by Mohit Suri has made history as one of the highest earning Bollywood films in 2025. The film, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda earned over 80 crores in India during the opening weekend, and over 100 crores worldwide.
The film’s blockbuster opening has exceeded all expectations, with netizens praising the film and the actors’ performances, leading to great word of mouth. ‘Saiyaara’ is also outperformed Mohit Suri’s previous films, including both ‘Ek Villain’ and ‘Aashiqui 2’. Trade analysts are crediting the film’s success to the fresh pairing, honest storytelling, and Suri’s music production. Audience reviews have also been pouring in, with viewers loving Panday and Padda’s chemistry on-screen and the film’s soundtrack.
Suri and YRF made a concerted effort to keep Panday and Padda away from pre-promotion interviews, paparazzi sightings, and other promotional activities to ensure that there was intrigue around their onscreen pairing and chemistry.
