Actor Prateik Chaudhary, who completed 5 years in the entertainment industry, will soon be seen in a micro drama series titled The Elite.
Sharing more on that he says,
”I am playing a character called Virat Mehra who is a rich and spoiled brat. He enjoys his life with his dad’s money and bullies everyone. Especially Kiara who is from a middle class background and got her admission through scholarship. Virat tries to bully and make fun of her. But this show of strength is all fake. From inside he is a broken man – his father had always hurt him. He also shares a complex relationship with his father because his father had a bad relation with his mother. I have never played such a layered character in my career so I had a great learning time on set as Virat.”
He adds,
”It was challenging yet fun to play Virat. And being a lead of the show is a great responsibility. I was there in all the scenes. So we completed 67 episodes in just 3 days and had to shoot day and night. Had so much pressure but at the end you just grow under pressure so am grateful to God and the universe for giving me this. The entire series we shot in Mumbai. It was amazing working with the cast and crew. All were fabulous and very professional and hard working.”
Micro drama series is the latest trend which is being followed by many producers. Found by Nadiadwala, Prateik shares he had no idea about the concept before he started shooting for it. He says,
”Honestly I was not aware of it much but while i was doing it i researched and got to know that currently it’s trending all over the world and liked by everyone. For actors and technicians every new arena is an opportunity to showcase our talent, usually every episode consists of 10 minutes and a curiosity builds up at the end of it. I have seen many series related to The Elite and youth college based shows are liked by the audience. Because it’s fast and very different from a tv drama. After working in television for last 5 years I feel I have become a mature actor but yes there is always room for improvement and I am ready to work on my weaknesses.”
