An exclusive chat with actor Manish Chaudhari.
1. A new wave of cinema is taking over the old ways, they call it experimentation whats your take on it ?
There is a whole new generation of film directors writers and technicians who have started out in the business and have begun to make a dent by questioning the status quo…that is always a great sign of the art of cinema moving forward. Experimentation is fantastic as it takes all of us forward and infuses fresh ideas and a renewed energy into a business that likes to play safe! We are in very capable hands with this new generation of auteurs.
2. You gave life another chance by marrying the love of your life you met much later do you consider it fate and do you suggest people give life another chance even if they have had a slightly bitter past?
The past is a great teacher, to call it ‘bitter’ would be pigeonholing it. We can learn from it and move forward into a great ‘present’. I have always done things ‘fully’. I don’t cut corners, in work or in my personal life. Life wants to be lived fully, not by halves!
3. What is immediately on the horizon work wise; where do we see you?
A busy year of releases this year. Kingdom Dir. by Gowtam Tinnanuri in theatres on 4 July followed by Dharmatics’ and Vivek Soni’s Aap Jaisa Koi on Netflix, Arnab Chatterjee and Reliance Studio’s Murderbad in theatres and Red Chillies and Aryan Khan’s series Ba****ds of Bollywood on Netflix.
4. If not an actor where do you see yourself ?
Definitely the Indian Army
The insights of Manish Chaudhari are certainly delightful and we can’t wait to see him in his upcoming projects!
