Actor Sheetal Kale, who played the role of Nargis Sushmita Sen’s best friend in the web series Taali on JioCinema opens up this Mother’s Day with heartfelt reflections on her deep bond with the woman who raised her. With raw honesty and emotion, Sheetal shares how her mother’s presence, values, and silent strength have shaped every part of her life.
Recalling the comfort her mother brings, Sheetal says,
“If I had to describe my relationship with my mom in just one word, it would be Sukun. Because honestly, she is my peace. No matter what’s happening around me, being with her makes everything feel okay.”
One of the biggest life lessons her mother taught her still guides her every day. Sheetal shares,
“One lesson that’s deeply stayed with me is when she said, ‘Never give up, never accept defeat.’ She always tells me that God gives difficulties to those who have the strength to face them. And once you go through them, you become stronger, better, and more evolved as a person. That mindset has helped me survive the toughest days.”
Admiring her mother’s resilience, Sheetal Kale adds,
“The one quality I admire the most in my mom is her strength, emotional, mental, and spiritual. I always say this, I haven’t seen God, but I’ve seen my mother. She is everything. I may never be able to live up to the kind of woman she is, but I’ll always try. She’s truly like a goddess to me.”
Reflecting on the role her mother played in her career, especially during challenging times, she says,
“My mom has always been there, silently pushing me forward. She says support is important, but too much of it can make a person dependent. And to become truly independent, one has to fight their own battles. But in that entire journey from being dependent to becoming independent she has been my biggest support system. Her belief in me gave me strength when I had none.”
Childhood memories remain close to her heart. Sheetal recalls,
“One memory that’s permanently etched in my heart is from my school days. My mom used to wake up at 4 AM every single day to prepare my tiffin, iron my school uniform, tie my two ponytails, and get me ready. She would sleep late, yet still wake up before everyone else, just for me. That love, that dedication. I can never forget it.”
This Mother’s Day, Sheetal Kale’s heartfelt words beautifully celebrate the strength, sacrifices, and unconditional love of her mother her lifelong source of peace and inspiration.
