Actress Nikkita Ghag on her lessons from Lord Ganesha this Ganesh Chaturthi; says, “Bappa’s story teaches me not to let anyone undermine my abilities or judge me based on my appearance.”

Nikkita Ghag is a dynamic actress and producer known for her versatile performances in shows like ‘Bekaboo’ and ‘Pyarr ka Bazaar Karobaar’ and her very own production, ‘Anandi’ on Disney+ Hotstar. For Nikkita, Ganesh Chaturthi is a time of joy and spiritual reflection and she shares the deep significance Lord Ganesha has in her life.

Ask her to share her fondest memory of the festival, and Nikkita is all about making memories every single year.

“Every year, we create new and positive memories. One of my fondest memories is when all my friends and family come together for Aarti. It changes the overall vibe of our home, making it very positive and uplifting.”

Like any festival, Ganesh Chaturthi is a time when everyone prepares sweet delicacies. Nikkita shares her preparations,

“On the first day, we prepare a proper Panchbakhwan. For modak, I make Ukadiche Modak, which is a traditional recipe. This year, we are also making Rose Modak and Guava Modak. I take pride in cooking these myself.”

Nikkita reveals the lessons she has learned from Lord Ganesha and why the festival is so special to her.

“Ganesh Chaturthi is my favorite festival because of my deep affection for Bappa. The values I’ve learned from him are important to me. These include prioritizing duty, cherishing my parents, practicing forgiveness, and standing up for my self-respect. Bappa’s story teaches me not to let anyone undermine my abilities or judge me based on my appearance.”

Nikkita Ghag has highlighted that a festival is more than just a celebration but also has personal importance. This will surely inspire many to partake in the vibrant traditions associated with the celebration with all their heart.
