Purva Parag, an acclaimed actress known for her diverse roles in Indian cinema, recently opened up about her enriching experience working in the film “Sarfira,” which was released on July 12th. Despite facing health challenges, Purva described her involvement in the movie as a stroke of luck and expressed her joy in portraying her role without any makeup, as requested by the director, Sudha Ma’am. She firmly believes in the beauty of natural appearance, stating, “I was happy to do it because I believe you look beautiful as you are.” In addition to “Sarfira,” Purva played the role of Gargi, a blind mother, in the web series “Gunah,” which was widely appreciated. Her portrayal in “Gunah” adds to her diverse repertoire, showcasing her remarkable versatility as an actress.

Reflecting on her time on set, Purva spoke highly of the entire crew, emphasizing their friendliness and the comfortable environment they created. “The entire crew of Sarfira was really very good. The production was also very friendly. I was in my comfort zone,” she shared.
In “Sarfira,” Purva played the role of Radhika Madan’s mother, marking the second time she has taken on a maternal role opposite Madan, the first being in “Kacche Limbu.” She recounted a memorable interaction with Madan during their first scene together. “Radhika was looking at me and she was not able to recognize me. She said, ‘I saw you somewhere,’ so I told her, ‘Yes, I was your continuity mom from Kacche Limbu.’ She said I had changed a lot. Radhika is a sincere girl, very hardworking, and focused,” Purva remarked.
Purva also shared her journey of quickly learning Marathi and credited her co-actors for being excellent language teachers. She fondly remembered her conversations with Seema Ji and Ashok Ji, describing them as hardworking and enjoyable.
One of the highlights of Purva’s experience was working with the dynamic Akshay Kumar for the first time. “It was my first movie with Akshay Kumar Sir. I am his fan since OMG. His energy level, his discipline, and his physical activeness were commendable. I learned a lot from Akshay Sir. It was a dream come true moment when I was interacting with him, and he was very down-to-earth and spoke with me also,” Purva added, expressing her admiration for the star.
