As ‘Tejas’ is being loved by audiences worldwide, Kangana Ranaut shares some memories from the set!

Kangana Ranaut’s latest Bollywood release ‘Tejas’ is now streaming worldwide on Zee5 Global, and audiences are loving her performance as IAF officer Tejas Gill. As fans are acclaiming the film, Ranaut gave an inside look into moments on set!

Can you share some behind-the-scenes moments where the team’s dedication to portraying the integrity of the subject matter was evident?

My director, Sarvesh, is such a good captain of the team or the ship, whatever you may call it. He had everything prepared and did intense research because we were making the first fighter pilot film, especially focusing on air combat. The way he figured everything out is commendable. There were these small models of the aircraft hanging in the air. It wasn’t easy to depict the air combat dogfights. Even in VFX, of course, we weren’t doing it for real, but even for visual effects, it took a lot in terms of understanding the mechanics, soundtrack, and, of course, the technicalities. We had a real Air Force pilot guiding us, Mr. Gokhale, but even then, it required a lot of precision and understanding. A lot was involved in understanding the medium the soldiers were fighting with, and all aircrafts were different. There were so many of them; that were distinctive. The Pakistan Army aircraft were different, the training cadets were different, and achieving accuracy, precision, and an immaculate portrayal of the medium is truly spectacular.

Ranaut also speaks about a global audience being able to watch the film, and the impact it holds.

Tejas is being released on ZEE5 Global. How do you feel about the film reaching a global audience, and what do you hope international viewers take away from the movie? 

It’s a, you know, for us to have a homegrown international platform like z five, which is doing exceptionally well, even the most viewed digital films were from Z five last year. And I think what kind of impression I would want people to take away from this is to see Indian Air Force in, you know, with the sense of with it with a sense of pride and, and what we’re able to achieve. You know, as a young nation, in these many years of freedom is remarkable. It’s an ode to our defense forces. I want the whole world to look up to our defense forces and that’s the endeavor and Z five is providing us that platform where we are able to reach out to the whole world. This this is, this is incredible.
