Republic Day is almost here and after two years of no offline schools and no celebration, this year is going to be a hit among all. Bands are practicing day and night and performances will take place in abundance. Amongst all the preparations for the 26th, we as adults remember those lovely days when we would be super excited for the festivities that Republic Day brought with it. Anchor Sachin Kumbhar also takes a nostalgic walk down the memory lane and shared some of them with us.
He says , “I remember during my school days, we used to wear a white kurta and a tricolour dupatta. We would sing and perform at our cultural function that would be held after the flag hoisting ceremony. I still remember the excitement of going to school on the day. Of course, you love your nation throughout your life, but the feeling of patriotism while watching the tricolour being hoisted and the national anthem being sung is incomparable.”
