French makeup and hairstylist Florian Hurel’s FloFitBox supports Sunday Street Initiative
For French makeup and hairstylist Florian Hurel, fitness is paramount and he feels privileged to be able to support the Mumbai Police in their recently started Sunday Street Initiative. For the unversed, this initiative has been started by the Mumbai Police to encourage people to step out of their houses and indulge in activities like cycling, walking, and Yoga. Florian, who runs a multifunctional fitness center called FloFitBox since October 2020, has been helping out with the same.
“The Sunday Streets initiative campaign is a great initiative done by Mumbai police, along with Shree Aditya Thackeray. We feel privileged to be able to serve the members of Bandra as Sunday street is on Carter Road, next to our gym. We feel lucky to be able to help build a beautiful community that breathes fitness and healthy living,” says Florian Hurel, who has styled the likes of Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra.
Florian Hurel adds, “The response has been amazing. Bandra being the epicenter of Mumbai has always shown love and spirit to any initiative taken by the government. It feels great to see people once again stepping out of the house and getting into physical activities wherein we play an important part.”
Talking about FloFitBox, Florian says that he has always been a fitness freak, which led to him starting this venture.
“I’ve always been into sports and fitness since the age of 13 and have done many kinds of exercises, from playing soccer for a club in France to Muay Thai from Bangkok. I’ve started CrossFit in 2015 and this form of fitness has been close to me. It defines the overall fitness of a person, which, I feel, makes a person fit internally as well,” Florian Hurel says, adding, “During the pandemic, normal life came to a standstill and fitness was the need of the hour. Everyone’s immunity was hit by the novel Covid 19. Thus, I started building the community of Crossfitters who used to work out with me for the past few years and helped me start a brand ‘FloFitBox’ of my own.”
Florian Hurel also tries to make sure that he works out regularly.
“I’m very particular about being healthy and eating healthy. I daily spend around two hours at the Box or gym,” he says.
