Sahara UK’s Tera Lal Ghagra Features In Film Good Newwz

We are very excited to reveal our iconic song ‘Billo Ni (Tera Lal Ghagra)’ from 2004 has been reworked and re-sung for the ‘Good Newwz’ film soundtrack!

The film, which is released on 27 December 2019 under by Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films production houses, features lead roles for Bollywood ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar, superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Punjabi icon Diljit Dosanjh.

The film version is titled ‘Laal Ghaghra’ and features fresh new vocals from Herbie Sahara alongside Neha Kakkar and a cameo from Manj Musik to give their UK Bhangra classic a brand new Bollywood flavor. Herbie Sahara:

BIO

Sahara was formed by Harvinderpal Singh, better known as Herbie Sahara in 1993 and released their debut album ‘Intemptation’ before their Taz Stereo Nation produced album ‘Let Loose’ in 1994. In 2001 their album ‘Access All Areas’ established the Sahara name worldwide with ‘Soniye Ni Soniye’ providing to be their big hit. In 2005, the album ‘Undisputed’ featured the song ‘Billo Ni (Tera Lal Ghagra)’ which captaultlated them onto a differed stage altogether. Sahara are proud to be UK born artists representing the Bhangra genre across the world and honored to be one of a few UK Punjabi acts to have a track in two Pakistani feature films – ‘Parchi’ in 2018 and ‘Heer Maan Ja’ in 2019.

The duo has performed on the catwalk for designers Asifa & Nabeel at QHBCW Bridal Couture Week and back in 2018 they performed at the Coca Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy event in Lahore in front over 15,000 fans, followed by a star performance at the Multan Cricket Stadium in front of 35,000 passionate fans for the Wasim Akram’s Sultans XI vs Shoaib Malik’s Toofan XI exhibition game. In January 2019, Sahara was on stage in front of probably their biggest ever live crowd – over 45,000 fans at CokeFest in Islamabad! To date, Sahara have been on the live music scene for over 25 years and 2020 will see more projects on the big screen – watch this space!
