Bhushan Kumar is making all the right moves and backing one successful film after another. After delivering several box office hits in 2019, the T-Series head honcho turned out to be the most influential producer of them all.
Bhushan Kumar started 2020 on a blockbuster note with T-Series’ first film venture of the decade – Tahnaji: The Unsung Warrior. This Ajay Devgn-Saif Ali Khan starrer is running successfully at the box office still.
Many expected the period film to be good but the appreciation and the love it has received is incredible. The film has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster and highest earning film for Ajay in his career. After comfortably hitting the 200 crore mark, the film continues to outperform other releases.
Bhushan Kumar is happy and all smiles. He shares,
“I’m extremely happy and privileged to be presenting a film on such an unsung warrior. I always had confidence in the film and the audience’s appreciation has validated my own belief in the project. It is also our director Om Raut’s vision that has come live on screen. Ajay and we are planning more films together.”
Talking about the film’s main lead Ajay Devgn, Bhushan adds,
“It’s always special to work with Ajay. He has a creative bent of mind. With the reaction of our audiences for Tanhaji, we both are aiming to give our viewers more stories about the unsung heroes of our country. Ajay is a fantastic artist and our association has always been smooth. Next in line is Bhuj, another important story in Indian history, that releases this year so that’s another biggie we both will be coming with together.”
He continues,
“The way Tanhaji is performing is incredible and I’m happy that we have delivered the first blockbuster hit of the year that has crossed 200 crore already, right at the start of the year. 2020 looks to be a great and promising year for us as a company and I’m sure with Tanhaji’s success and the other films coming up one by one, we will grow leaps and bounds.”
