This time too she has impressed with her performance in Bala. The film co-stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.

Recently, Yami Gautam in conversation with UrbanAsian, was questioned whether co-starring with a big star helps one’s career or whether she wants to see her part in the film first.

To which she responded,

“I think if you are talking about Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan. So Off course it does help you in a very massive way the reach that you get for your audience. It is massive because it no matter who comes where what success you get. I mean what they have achieved its something else. I think they are really blessed coming from that 90’s era till today. Being so relevant changing some time their fans are really growing. It takes I don’t what it takes it has taken so much hard work from that era. So yes definitely we really filming with them gives you that reach. But eventually, to hold up your own it will wall down today.”

On adding to this she also said,

“Even in ’90s if we take the example of Sri Devi or Madhuri ma’am they worked with some bigger stars and also when you go back in time Vyjayanthimala, Waheeda Rehman they held on even if they have given love stories. They have delivered some performances which is a reference points for us and that are memorable. Like Madhubalaji I know I am going back in that era but late night I put on some songs from 50’s and 60’s era and watch them. Yes it helps eventually we wall down to things so you really have to do something which actually depends what you want to do. Or may be a content report that if you want to work with some you have to show that capability.”

Talking about Bala, the film also stars Saurab Shukla, Jaaved Jaaferi and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles and was shot in Mumbai and Kanpur. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik. It is produced by Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films Production and released on November 8, 2019.

On the work front, Yami Gautam will soon be seen in Vinod Bachchan’s Ginny Weds Sunny co-starring Vikrant Massey.
