Amitabh Bachchan has won over million hearts with his performance in films.
He has been awarded the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his contribution to the Indian film industry as well. Today, the megastar completes 50 years in the industry.
On this special occasion, Abhishek Bachchan took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt note for his father. He wrote:
“Not just as a son, but as an actor and a fan… We are all blessed to witness greatness! There is so much to admire, to learn and even more to appreciate. Several generations of cinema lovers get to say we lived in the times of BACHCHAN!!! Congratulations Pa on completing 50 years in the Film industry. We now await the next 50! Love you.”

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan’s upcoming Bollywood films include Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Rumy Jafry’s Chehre.
On this special day Anand Pandit, who is producing Rumy Jafry’s Chehre, spoke to us talking about Amitabh Bachchan completing 50 years in the industry. He said,
“Bachchan saab is a true legend and an inspiration for each one of us. His love for cinema and zeal to learn makes him the unique actor that he is. He has completed 50 years in Bollywood and still setting benchmarks. I’m honoured to be working with him in his 50th year.”
The producer who has been associated with movies like Batla House, Baazaar and Section 375, among others adds that Amitabh Bachchan retains the curiosity of a child even today and loves to learn new things. He adds,
“It is amazing to know and work with a person who is excited about working every single day. He finds ways to be happy in whatever he does.”
