Parineeti Chopra is all set to play India’s ace shuttler Saina Nehwal in her biopic. The film will be directed by Amole Gupte. He is leaving no stone unturned to make her character appear more interesting and relatable on screen.
Needless to say, the actress went out of her comfort zone and started sweating out every day at the badminton court by practicing the sport for long hours to get her on-screen act right.
Parineeti Chopra, who started shooting for the Bhushan Kumar production this month, is also practicing Badminton simultaneously. The makers have planned the schedule of the movie in such a way that the actress gets time for practice. As per sources, Parineeti gets few days off in between so that she can play badminton and keep her game up.
Director Amole says,
“Yes, we’ve planned our schedule in a way that Parineeti Chopra has adequate time to practice regularly. It is tough but she is giving it her all. There is some time before we shoot the matches. She will continue practicing till then. As a filmmaker, it is my job to ensure that she has enough time to train so she can perform to her optimum.”Producer Bhushan Kumar informs,
“Parineeti Chopra wants to ensure that she is fully prepared for the badminton portions and the schedule has been planned accordingly. As a producer, I understand that the actress wants to be at her best because she is portraying a real life champion and wants to do justice to both, Sania’s achievements and the sport.”
Interestingly, Parineeti who has been prepping to play the Olympian for six months now has worked very closely with her coach Eshan Naqvi and traveled with him to London during the shooting of the film.
On the work front, Parineeti is part of Ribhu Dasgupta’s Hindi remake of The Girl on the Train and Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. Also, Ms. Chopra is part of Bhuj: The Pride of India.
