“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony” – Mahatma Gandhi.

This statement holds a lot of meaning and if we understand the philosophy behind it we will be happy. He has given us many other such thoughts for fodder as well.

Some of Mahatma Gandhi’s quotes include:

  • A man is but the product of his thoughts; what he thinks, he becomes.
  • Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.
  • The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
  • Be the change that you want to see in the world.
  • Nobody can hurt me without my permission.
  • An ounce of practice is worth a thousand words.
  • Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.
  • An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.
  • The day the power of love overrules the love of power, the world will know peace.
  • You don’t know who is important to you until you actually lose them.

Besides being inspirational in his philosophy, Mahatma Gandhi has also played an important part in Bollywood movies.

Today on 2nd October, on his birthday, we list down some movies inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s life and teachings:
