Saand Ki Aankh revolves around Chandro and Prakashi who take up shooting at the age of 60. They do so in order to encourage their daughters to move towards a bright future as they did not want them to go through a lifetime of suppression.

Viineet will essay the role of the trainer – Dr. Yashpal – to Taapsee Pannu (Prakashi) and Bhumi Pednekar (Chandro). He acts as a catalyst and provides support and strength to Prakashi and Chandro to combat patriarchy and stand up. He is a harbringer of change in a deeply rooted male dominant society of Haryana.

It’s remarkable to see, Saand Ki Aankh that totally focuses on female protagonists still has Viineet deliver an impactful performance.

Talking about the film the actor said:

“It’s always great working with Anurag Kashyap Sir, but Saand Ki Aankh is very close to me. I truly savored each moment this film. Most importantly because, this film tells a story which must be told. Taapsee and Bhumi are such terrific actors, and working with them was quite an experience. It was great working with Tushar Hiranandani.”

The sports drama film also stars Prakash Jha and Shaad Randhawa and is a Tushar Hiranandani directorial. Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Anurag Kashyap in association with Chalk and Cheese Films, the film is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Anurag and Nidhi Parmar. Saand Ki Aankh will release this Diwali, October 27.

On the work front, Kumar will be debuting on the web platform with Netflix’s Bard Of Blood. The series releases on September 27. He will also feature in Aadhaar which will release this December.
