Ayushmann Khurrana, who has now become a king of good scripts in Bollywood is all set for his upcoming movie, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The movie is a romantic comedy which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar as a gay couple. Jitendra Kumar has won the audience’s hearts with his performances on The Viral Fever. The duo of Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar, who are among the finest actors can do wonders on the screen.
Recently, all the characters of the movie are given an introduction in a quirky video. Other than the duo, the cast includes, Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo among others.
Sources say that the gay angle will not deal with any apologetic or hesitant manner.
“Unlike Onir’s brave My Brother Nikhil where no intimacy was shown between the gay partner Sanjay Suri and Purab Kohli, in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan there will be many intimate moments between Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar. This would be the first gay love story of Indian cinema where the central relationship would not accentuate the gender of the lovers,”
says a source close to the project.
Talking about doing a kissing scene with his male co-star in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, the Dream Girl actor says it will be no different to kissing a female co-star.
When we talk about the characters that Ayushmann has given us through his movies, they all seem challenging. Be it Vicky from Vicky Donor or Pooja from Dream Girl, Ayushmann is true to all his characters.
Besides Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, we will see Ayushmann in Bala opposite Bhumi Pednekar. The actor also has Gulabo Sitabo in his kitty, wherein he will be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.
Directed by Hitesh Kewalya, the movie is a production by Aanand L. Rai and Bhushan Kumar under their respective banners Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series. The movie will release on March 12, 2020.
