Today, as Sanjay Dutt rings his 60th birthday, we at UrbanAsian would like to write down 5 films where he played the role of a badass gangster.

  1. Khalnayak:

How can anyone forget Sanjay’s role in this movie! No one could have played Ballu’s character better than our Baba. The film was the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 1993.

  1. Vaastav :

Sanju Baba played the role of Raghunath Namdev Shivalkar or Raghu in this film. He played the role of a gangster. He really nailed out his performance in this film. The film was very well received by both critics and audiences.

  1. Musafir:
4.0.1

Sanjay Dutt portrayed the role of Billa, who is a ruthless killer. It was the eighth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year 2004. At the box office, the film opened to almost near housefull collections of 80%-100percent all over India. Sanjay Dutt’s swag won our hearts.

  1. Kaante:

Ajju with his team makes a plan to rob the bank in which lie the fundings for the Los Angeles Police Department. Sanjay made the character so convincing that we fell in love with him more.

  1. Agneepath:

Kancha Cheena, an unscrupulous man, often mocked for his hairless appearance; he runs Mandwa as a concentration camp and exploits the villagers in order to deal in cheap cocaine. People got scared by the look of Sanjay’s character as Kancha Cheena. Sanjay Dutt received a lot of appreciation for this role more than Hrithik.

Be it comedy or a badass cop or gangster or a majnu, we love the way you portray your roles.

Happy Birthday!
