Pankaj Tripathi’s Role From Sacred Games Inspired By This Guru?

After Sacred Games, which came out on Netflix last year, audiences are eagerly waiting for its 2nd season.  Recently Netflix released the trailer of Sacred Games season 2 with new interesting plots. With the addition of new characters which Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey are playing. One character that generated most curiosity is of Pankaj Tripathi’s role of Guruji.

Though Pankaj Tripathi was a part of season 1, now in this upcoming season, his role will have much more to offer to his fans.

 

His looks and role of Guru ji are said to be inspired by the most renowned spiritual figure/guru of India – Osho.

 

Acharya Rajnesh, also known as Bhagwan Acharya Rajneesh later as OSHO was a spiritual guru, mystic and philosopher from India. He is also a leader of the Rajneesh movement. Osho leads a very controversial life leading a ban on him by several countries.

 

Watching Pankaj Tripathi’s looks and dialogues in Sacred Games 2 trailer reminds us of this cult figure Rajneesh Osho. Osho still has massive followers across the world. According to sources there are meant to be several references to Osho. His way of life and practices that will be depicted in the role of Guruji, played by Pankaj in the series.

 

Netflix’s Sacred Games Season 2 is all set to release on 15th August 2019.
