Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose last movie Padmaavat starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor was a hit is all set to launch two new faces Sharmin Segal and Meezaan in Bollywood.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Malaal which was all set to release on 28th June is now postponed and will release on 5th of July. The film will be set in Mumbai and is directed by Mangesh Hadawale.
Meezaan is the son of Bollywood actor Jaaved Jafferi while Sharmin is Bhansali’s niece. The newcomers are being launched under Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s home banner Bhansali Productions.
At the trailer launch the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali said this about the two newcomers:
“Four years back, Sharmin was assisting me on Bajirao Mastani. I had asked her to bring someone in for costume trials and she got Meezaan. The moment he entered I knew this was a star.”
The director further added:
“I told little Sharmin that maybe I’ll make her a star too but she has worked so hard to become an actor. I love both of them.”
On the work front, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to collaborate with Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt for his next Inshallah.
