Diljit Dosanjh, who will be seen this year in Dinesh Vijan’s quirky cop comedy Arjun Patiala and Karan Johar’s Good News has now been roped in for a yet-untitled comedy film, which will be bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani.
Yami Gautam, who was last seen in URI will be seen sharing screen space with Diljit Dosanjh in this comedy film which will mark the directorial debut of Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon.
Confirming the news, Ramesh Taurani, who will be producing the yet-untitled movie, told a leading daily:
“Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple.”
He added that the film has an interesting story and will go on floors in August. The movie is one of the last films penned by Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s screenplay writer Neeraj Vora who passed away in 2017 after he had slipped into coma in October 2016. He has co-written the script with Vibha Singh and Arshad Sayed.
Yami and Diljit have always managed to impress us with their acting chops and we cannot wait to watch this one.
