About two years ago at the 70th Cannes International Film Festival, filmmaker Sidharth Anand announced the remake of Sylvester Stallone starrer Hollywood cult classic Rambo (1982) and the first look of Tiger Shroff starrer Hindi remake of the movie was also unveiled.
And now it looks like, Siddharth Anand has locked the dates of Gandhi Jayanti 2019, as well as 2020, for the release of his next two directorial ventures.
According to the information, the director who is working on another untitled film starring Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan said:
“After I complete my current film with Tiger and Hrithik Roshan, I will start prepping for Rambo from September. Tiger will begin his preparation from November-December and we will set the ball rolling in the New Year. We will be shooting both in India and abroad.”
“The recce will begin soon. We have already locked release date, October 2, 2020.”
The director further said:
“Rambo is primarily known for its action, but I can promise you that in my film, the story will resonate with our audience too. It’s a story that needs to be told, given the present political dynamics in the country. Of course, the action will be big but like Steven Spielberg once said, ‘If it’s action without emotions the audience watches dispassionately.’ So, the emotions need to be in sync with the action.”
As mentioned earlier, Tiger would next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s yet-untitled next with Hrithik Roshan which is speculated to be a dance film with Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. He would then also go on to be seen opposite Shraddha Kapoor in Baaghi 3.
