“The Khanversation” Talk Show Coming Soon With Abubakar Khan On Dash Radio
Abubakar Khan DEBUTS NEW ONE HOUR SHOW ON DASH RADIO North America’s 1st mainstream South Asian radio station, Rukus Avenue Radio, launches April 2019 Rukus Avenue Music Group, North America’s first South Asian record label founded in 1996, has partnered with DJ Skee and Dash Radio to launch North America’s first mainstream South Asian radio station, Rukus Avenue Radio.
The station will begin broadcasting worldwide April 8, 2019 on Dash Radio. Seattle and Vancouver’s own Abubakar Khan stars as one of the new hosts on Rukus Avenue Radio. He is an American, Canadian, Pakistani Muslim. He came to national attention in 2016 after opening the Vancouver Al Jamia mosque to people in need during winter storms; and, in 2017, for organizing a vigil at the Olympic cauldron for those murdered by a lone gunman in Quebec. He’s led a number of charity programs, collaborated on anti-racism outreach with the municipal, provincial and federal governments and has sat on multiple festival boards. He’s spoken at over 150 events and is the co-founder of Love Over Fear, a clothing company based in Canada. Abucitywideo ran a city wide campaign for Vancouver City council in 2018.
Currently, he is the manager of Diaspora Creative, a film and television studio and Be True Cineworks a production house. He is producing multiple films and short films.
