As you might be aware, Parineeti Chopra will next be seen in Kesari opposite Akshay Kumar.
While promoting the film, Parineeti Chopra revealed that she doesn’t have a big part to play in the film yet she said yes to the film because she wanted to be a part of it.
When asked if she has any plans to marry considering some of her contemporaries are getting married, she said:
“What have I got to do with them? Let them do whatever they feel like. I don’t have any plans to get married. If I ever get married, I have to be ready for it. I’m not thinking about it today.”
So did Parineeti feel like getting married seeing her cousin sister Priyanka tie the knot?
“She herself got married at 36. See, the entire (Chopra) family is a family of achievers. I’m not saying that they are career oriented but they love their work and get very busy in it. Even my eldest cousin is not married. Mimi didi actually was the first girl and eldest to get married in our family. And it was like ‘Oh wow, someone is getting married in our family’. Marriages don’t happen in our family. I have 14 cousins, only 2 are married. And all of us are 30, 31, 32, 33. That’s they kind of family we are. Also our own parents tell us that marriage is not the thing. Find your person. Do whatever you want, travel with them, live with them. If you want to get married, get married. Just be happy with the guy. That’s the most important thing our family teaches our kids. Don’t come under the pressure that you have to get married. Instead find the right person who’ll not cheat on you, who’s going to be loyal to you and who’s going to keep you happy. A lot of people are married but not happy. How does marriage decide happiness? They want us to be happy & successful. Marriage doesn’t fit in anywhere. If I find the right person, I’ll be the first one to get married.”
So has she found the right person? “I don’t know,” she says with a smile.
