Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in Gold, is currently busy with the promotions of Kesari. The movie is based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi, in which 21 Sikhs fought fearlessly against 10,000 enemies in 1897. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra.

During group interviews, Akshay Kumar got quite nostalgic about the days shooting the film and he was kind enough to share one of his most memorable sequences.
He said:
“I want to share this with you. There is one song which is my favourite song. It is not a commercial song but it is a song which will come in the end. Very few martyrs take their last breath instantly and some take about 35-40 seconds before they close their eyes forever and in that short span of time, they reminisce about their childhood, parents, friends, wife, children etc. B Praak has sung this song and Jaani has written it and I can’t express how beautiful this song is written and sung. I’m confident everybody will like this song when the song releases in 2-3 days.”
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Sunir Kheterpal, Kesari is all set to hit theatres on 21st March.
