  1. Aliens (1986)

The claustrophobic tale of a group of marines accompanying Ellen Ripley back to the Alien infested planet is still an action landmark and the high point of the Alien movie series.

  1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)

Terminator 2

This film is one of the landmark cinematic moments of my childhood. It’s still thrilling to watch the tale of the good terminator (Schwarzenegger) vs the bad terminator (Robert Patrick) as they battle over the life of John Connor and his Mum who have their own agenda to prevent Armageddon! Fantastic movie from start to finish and decades later it still holds up as an action masterpiece.

  1. True Lies (1994)

I like describing True Lies as the best James Bond film they never made.  Arnold Schwarzenegger’s role as Harry Tasker – a super spy who has hidden his real job from his wife. Cameron managed to find the perfect tone with this film – just a little bit tongue-in-cheek but also as exhilarating.

  1. Titanic (1997)

Since I was a kid I have been fascinated by the story of the great ship and its shocking demise and from there on I loved Cameron’s films. Titanic is big and breathtaking and it tells one hell of a story. James Cameron’s Titanic is so awesome that it caters to the audience of different genres of story-telling; if you like love stories it has one of the best love stories ever told and you will also like it if you like a thrilling, everything-gets-shattered-to-pieces type of movie.

  1. Avatar (2009)

I was really blown away and loved this film in the cinema – it was big and breathtaking and told a compelling story. The visual effects looked so brilliant that I saw it nice theaters twice and still couldn’t get enough of it. This is my all time favorite movie in the best visuals category.
