Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is all set for the release of Ritesh Batra’s Photograph has his plate full. The actor is apart of Motichoor Chaknachoor, Sacred Games 2, Raat Akeli Hai and Bole Chudiyan.
As reported earlier, Nawazuddin and his Manjhi – The Mountain Man co-star, Radhika Apte, are reuniting again for Honey Trehan’s directorial debut Raat Akeli Hai. The actors have also shared screen space in the Varun Dhawan starrer Badlapur.
The latest addition to the cast of Raat Akeli Hai is Nawazuddin’s Haramkhor co-star Shweta Tripathi. Raat Akeli Hai is set in the 1980s and narrates the journey of a cop from a police-in training to a class one officer.
Shweta confirmed the news about playing a pivotal part in Raat Akeli Hai and said,
“Acting alongside Nawaz bhai is a learning experience. He is a master of the craft and makes you look good by just being in the same frame as you.”
A source close to the film told a leading daily,
“The Kanpur-based story has Nawaz playing an investigative officer who is working on a high profile case. That is when his character meets Radhika, a rich girl from a small town, and Shweta. The film will also be shot in Lucknow and Gwalior and will wrap up on March 25.”
