This morning we woke up to some shocking news. The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out a surgical air strike across terror camps near the Line Of Control. About 12 Mirage 2000 fighter jets from the Indian camp took to the skies and dropped 1000 kilos of bombs, destroying the terror camps. The air attacks came following the Pulwama terror attacks which shook the nation on February 14.
A terror group led by Jaish-e-Muhammad attack a CRPF convoy in Pulwama less than two weeks ago. On 14 February, a suicide terror attack was conducted by a Pak based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad. This attack lead to the martyrdom of 40 brave jawans of the CRPF.
JeM has been active in Pakistan for the last two decades and is led by Masood Azhar with its headquarters in Bahawalpur. This is said to be the first cross-border air strike India has carried out in nearly five decades.
