When asked Vicky how did he prepare for this role and how difficult was it for him, the talented actor said:
“It was the most exhausting role of my life. I have never done this many efforts for any other movie yet. When we heard from one of the soldiers who was there at the time of attack then we realized how hard it might be. Then we read the script and realized that how did it happened, and all the other information. We got to know that how so many department came together and worked on this project. And the important thing was that all these information was kept very secret and nobody knew about the planning and therefore it was successful.”
Vicky Kaushal: “When the script of URI came to me, the actor in me was sitting behind me and firstly the Indian citizen in me wanted to know that what all exactly happened during the surgical strike. When I was reading the script page by page I got so many information. In the film also you will see how these 10 days journey was. I think everyone should once watch this movie to get the information about the journey of our army went through those days.”
Sharing her experience about the shooting days the actress Yami said:
“While shooting at airforce with the army all around us, I literally got goosebumps when I was actually watching the military chopper and just to watch it fly over your head. When you see around you see all the military. The pride comes to you that this is our military army.
