Rohit Shetty’s film Simmba starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, and Sonu Sood hit theatres today and we are super excited about it.

The film has already garnered a great response from the audiences and critics, as well as is said to be a paisa vasool full-on dhamakedaar film.

We at UrbanAsian are giving you 5 reasons why you must watch Simmba this weekend.

  1. Ranveer Singh:

Ranveer Singh, who is known for his power-packed performance in every film has once again proved that he can pull off any role with ease. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Sangram Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer. Right from the first scene, he captivates your senses with his disarming charm, even when he’s not doing the right thing.

  1. Rohit Shetty:

Have you ever returned from a Rohit Shetty film saying, ”Shee yaar kya bore tha”, No right?

Well, Rohit Shetty surely knows how to keep his audience happy and he has proved it again with Simmba. Simmba is also a completely Rohit Shetty style film, where the hero has a larger-than-life swag but is also relatable to the common man with a dashing villain, who has the local police and politics in his pocket. And when Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh come together, we cannot say that the movie won’t be promising.

  1. Power Pact Dialogues:

In this complete masala entertainer film, dialogues are like the cherry on the cake. The dialogues are penned by Farhad Samji. Dialogues like “Yeh kalyug hai, yahan log sirf ek hi matlab ke liye jeete hai, apne matlab ke liye”, “Bhaaaaai from another aaaaai”, “Bhaaaaau, je mala maahit nahi te saanga na, tell me something I didn’t know” and many more will make you get up from your seat and whistle loudly.

  1. Music:

The songs are composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George – DJ Chetas and S. Thaman while the lyrics are written by Shabbir Ahmed, Rashmi Virag, Kumaar and Kunaal Verma. Though some songs are forced, Ranveer Singh’s Aala Re Aala is drool-worthy on the big screen. Amar Mohile, Chandan Saxena and S. Thaman’s background score is a winner and we couldn’t have asked for more. The background score of the film will for sure give you some goosebumps in some scenes.

  1. A Perfect Combination Of Star Cast:

Rohit Shetty never fails in getting an amazing cast together and this time too the director was successful in it. Sonu Sood as the villain is perfect because he has played a perfect badass in the film.  Ashutosh Rana and Siddharth Jadhav did their part so well that they might end up making you their fans. Though Sara Ali Khan doesn’t have much screen presence, she is still noticeable in her role.

In the end, we would like to tell you to get ready for a freakishly awesome surprise in the film. (And no, it’s not Ajay Devgn).
