Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein starring Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel completed 5 years on television yesterday. The first episode of the drama soap opera was telecast on December 3, 2013.
Taking inspired from Manju Kapoor‘s novel, Custody, the show tells the love story of Dr. Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) – a woman who is infertile and Raman (Karan Patel) a heartbroken divorcee who is left with his young daughter Ruhi (Ruhanika Dhawan). The show also shed light on Raman’s ex-wife Shagun (Anita Hassanandani), the kids Aditya, Ruhi and Pihu and all the members of the Bhalla and Iyer families.
With loads of twists and turns, the team of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has entertained fans all across the globe.
On its fifth anniversary, producer Ekta Kapoor took to Instagram and shared a video about it. She also made sure the team had a gala celebration.
