- How was it working with Varun Mitra?
Even though it’s Varun’s first film, you will be shocked to see him and you will say that how is this his first film? He is a very genuine guy. He says what he feels and that is what gets him in trouble sometimes. We used to have a lot of fights during the shoot because we had different opinions. But overall we were a team and like a family, we stuck together because there was so much of drama and intense emotions that had to be portrayed, so we needed to help each other. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better.
- How much is Rhea related to Aysha?
I think we’re very much related. Everyone who is a part of the film kept telling me that you have to play yourself in the movie. I think I am like that only- a bit crazy, a bit passionate, a bit outspoken, I want a lot from life. I think every girl wants a perfect balance of career and love life. And sometimes I feel that men don’t get it. I feel that women do certain things because they are women. More than that the relatability of Aysha with Rhea is a lot.
- Any memorable/funny incident that happened while shooting.
Mostly it was really intense but one sweet thing which happened was that you must have seen in the song Pal and in that, Varun gets a necklace for me, I had actually liked that necklace a day before when I saw it in the market and I was bargaining for it. So that’s where the idea came for it. Pushpdeep and Varun planned and got the same necklace for me. I was actually surprised and was like that is so sweet. (Laughs)
- As shown in the trailer and songs, a lot of emotional scenes are there in the movie. So any incident or any scene which you could relate to your real life?
I had to use a lot of things from my real life because you had to use your heartbreaks and emotional pain that seems real. I feel the audiences are very smart, they know when you are faking it and when you are actually feeling the emotion. I actually even stopped talking to people for a few days. I locked myself in a room. That was very scary for me. I had also gone through an anxiety attack. So it was very challenging and fun to do. I don’t feel that anything that is easy is fun, I feel that the thing that is challenging is fun.
- Your favourite song from the movie.
It is very tough to decide. There are a lot of songs that I love. I think Pal would be a song that I would listen to again and again.
- One good and one bad quality about Varun
Good quality is that he is extremely passionate about his work and he will do anything to give that perfect shot. Bad quality is also that. He is so passionate that he will fight with you.
- How has your journey been so far?
People have been amazing. It is not easy. When you put equal amount of effort for every film and when they don’t work out you tend to blame yourself. But as an actor you have to realize that all you can do is your job and that is to act. The hit or flop of the film is not entirely on you. So I have learnt to detach from that. Somewhere I feel if you don’t enjoy the uncertainty of the business then you should not be an actor.
- Is playing an emotional role easier or playing a comical role?
I think both are tough. I think comedy is the hardest thing to do. It is very tough. Govinda is my favorite actor of all time. I have great respect for Johnny Lever. Comedy is very difficult. But I feel both have their own challenges. I enjoy doing both. As an actor we are greedy. I would like to do everything.
