The Indian Festive season has begun with Karva Chauth that took place on Saturday. Next week we celebrate Diwali and then the wedding season of the year begins.
Are you worried what to wear to look fashionable, in trend and yet remain traditional? Well, worry no more, we bring you guys some traditional wears from Kriti Kharbanda’s Insta account that you could follow this festive season.

• A net saree
A simple net saree in gold with a 1.5-2 inch work border is apt for the season. Such a look looks best with statement earrings and minimal makeup. Don’t clutter the saree girls.
• White ensemble and multicolored dupattas
Keep it simple with a white lengha choli but up the game with a coloured dupatta. The work on the dupatta could either be printed or an embroidery. Avoid bandhani dupattas though. This look will look good when complimented with traditional gold or precious stone jewellery.
• Pinks
Pinks are girly. If the correct shade is worn, it looks delicate and makes the wearer look innocent and beautiful. Take a look at how Kriti looks here. An outfit like this should compliment with a few pieces of jewellery – not much – matching the other colours on the ensemble.
• Full on traditional
You can all try going full traditional with Kanjivaram sarees – or something else like it – that has loads of gold infused in it. Complete the look with gold ornaments, but don’t overdo it – keep the saree as the main attention seeker. She looks like a beauty from South India ready to grab the limelight everywhere she goes.
• Simple sarees with heavy borders
Yes, a simple saree that has a detailed border of sequins, beads or pearls is apt for this season. Keep the jewellery minimal and compliment it with the border of the saree. If you border has pearl work –use pearl earring or bracelets, similarly if its sequins, use coloured/precious stone jewellery set in delicate works of silver, gold or another metal.
