- Andaaz Apna Apna:

This movie starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, while Govinda and Juhi Chawla made guest appearances. Shakti Kapoor’s character ‘Crime Master Gogo’ is one of the most memorable characters in Bollywood history. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, this movie was released in 1994. Each dialogue and character of the movie has a cult status.
- Hera Pheri:

Directed by Priyadarshan and produced by A.G. Nadiadwala, this movie has become a cult classic over the years. Starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Tabu, this film gained superstardom in and around the year 2000. The film did not do well upon release, but picked up later and became a box office success, grossing more than Rs. 17 crore in India. Much of the acclaim went to Paresh Rawal for his comic timing and acting, with critics calling it ‘one of his best performance ever’.
- Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro:

This 1983 film was directed by Kundan Shah and produced by the National Film Development Corporation. It was a satirical comedy on the state of Indian politics, entertainment industry and media at that time and gained major critical acclaim. The film starred the likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Satish Kaushik, Bhakti Barve and Neena Gupta.
- Padosan:

This 1968 comedy film starred Sunil Dutt and Saira Banu in the lead roles while Kishore Kumar, Mehmood, Mukri, Raj Kishore and Keshto Mukherjee played the supporting roles. The film was produced by Mehmood and N.C. Sippy. This movie went on to become a super hit must-watch film of the yesteryears of Bollywood and still is one the all-time best comedy films in India.
- Chupke Chupke:

This Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed film was one of the finest comedy flicks of its generation and gained cult status over the years. Starring Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, this movie has been hailed as the greatest Bollywood comedy of all time.
- Namak Halaal:

This movie was directed by Prakash Mehra and written by Kader Khan. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman and Suresh Oberoi, this movie will leave you in splits.
- Chameli Ki Shaadi:

Directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Anil Kapoor and Amrita Singh, Chameli Ki Shaadi is a rom-com about Charandas and Chameli.
- Golmaal: Fun Limited:

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal stars Ajay Devgn, Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal and Tusshar Kapoor. The film released on 14 July 2006, and received generally positive reviews from the critics, and turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office.
- Garam Masala:

Directed by Priyadarshan, starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, is an all an out comedy film. Akshay Kumar received the Best Actor in a Comic Role award for his performance at the Filmfare Awards. It is a remake of Priyadarshan’s own Malayalam movie Boeing Boeing.
- Partner:

Starring Govinda, Salman Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif, Partner was directed by David Dhawan. It was Govinda’s comeback movie. It is rom-com movie which has more of comedy and less of romance and the Jodi of Salman and Govinda was loved by all.
