A while back, we met the lead cast – Karna & Urvi and supporting cast – Arjuna & Kunti of Karn Sangini. The actors spoke about their roles in the show, their prep and much more.
The serial is based on Kavita Kane‘s novel Karna’s Wife: The Outcast’s Queen. With this serial, the channel, Star Plus, is introducing a new genre namely Mytho-Romance.
Present at the trailer launch were Tejaswi Prakash Wayangankar (Urvi), Aashim Gulati (Karna), Kinshuk Vaidya (Arjuna) and Sayantani Ghosh (Kunti).
At the press conference, Aashim spoke about his kavacha saying,
“Real thing toh ho nahi sakta, it’s made of silicon, prosthetics.”
He continued,
“It is very uncomfortable but it looks really good aur jab screen pe hai will look better.”
His only complaint is that the getup takes way too long to be done.
Sanyatani who plays his biological mother in the serial, praised the production team for coming up with the idea of giving Karna such an armour – as it was a gift from the Sun God – as it looks very good and natural.
The cast also shared how they prepped themselves to speak purely in Hindi as well as the language used in the show.
