After MS Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin, Sandeep Singh, Milkha Singh, and Mary Kom, now it’s time for another biopic on a well-known sports personality. And it’s none other than our favorite tennis player Sania Mirza.
There were rumors before that a biopic will be made on the six times Grand Slam titles winner but no one confirmed it until now.
We got to know that producer Ronnie Screwvala has finally decided to go ahead with the life story of the tennis champion, Sania Mirza.
According to reports, Ronnie, who was fascinated with Sania’s story, decided to purchase the rights of her life story for his next. It is yet not revealed who will play Sania Mirza in her biopic. The director of the film too is yet to be finalized.
According to reports, once the director of the movie has been finalized the process of casting will take place accordingly. Also, the biopic will not just concentrate on her professional life but also her personal life, with more focus being given to the latter.
For those who don’t know, Sania Mirza has earned the position of the top spot in the doubles discipline wherein she has won six Grand Slam titles in her career. She retired from singles in 2013. She has been the most successful female Indian tennis player and is considered to be one of the highest paid sports personas in the country.
Her personal life faced controversy when she married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in 2010.
Well, it will be interesting to see who will play the role of this tennis player in her biopic.
