A few days ago the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, attended a special screening of Chalo Jeete Hain at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Now, the Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Nadu had something very nice to say after watching the short film.
The Vice President said that we must imbibe the spirit of caring as well as sharing, an essential element of India’s social capital.
Furthermore, Chalo Jeete Hain is based on the childhood incidents of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
He also appreciated the director of the film, Shri Mangesh Hadawale, producers Shri Mahaveer Jain and Shri Bhushan Kumar. The film captures one of the key messages of Indian Culture.
The Vice President said that the film was inspirational and heart-warming, and also said that it conveys how Naru, the young boy found a purpose in life at an early age. He was inspired by the message of Swami Vivekananda. Naru, the young boy thus finds resonance with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. It also inspired him to dedicate his life to serve others, he added.
Shri M. Venkaiah Nadu said that the film depicts the attitude of a 10- year-old boy, who finds happiness and joy in helping others. Besides, I am sure everybody, who watches the film, will be motivated by Naru’s life, he added.
He further added,
“I am happy that Shri Mahaveer Jain and also Shri Bhushan Kumar have produced this short film with a special message. Directed by an eminent director like Shri Mangesh Hadawale, to illustrate one of the key messages of Indian culture. Swami Vivekananda, the iconic exponent of Indian thought, has inspired a large number of people around the world. His stirring messages have reverberated across the world since he addressed the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893. He had said, ‘It is a privilege to serve mankind, for this is the worship of God. God is here, in all these human souls. It is our privilege to be allowed to be charitable, for only so can we grow’”.
“I hope this film will now inspire many more young Narus to find meaning as well as direction in their lives as well. There is the famous Subhashita in Sanskrit that says:
పరోపకారాయ ఫలంతి వృక్షా
పరోకారాయ వహంతి నద్యః
పరోపకారాయ దుహంతి గావః
(The trees give their fruits to us, also the rivers sustain our lives through their waters, and the cows give us nourishment through their milk. Let us also live for others, not merely for ourselves. We must imbibe this spirit of caring and sharing in the same way. I think its the essential element of India’s social capital.)
Thank you, Jai Hind!”
