After a successful run in Mumbai which enthralled over 30,000 people, the magical tale of Disney’s Aladdin is now making its way to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium and will be staged from July 6th. Among the talented cast is the popular and acclaimed theatre and television personality Vikrant Chaturvedi who will play the iconic role of Jafar on stage.
“I was overwhelmed when I got to know that I was to play Jafar in the BookMyShow’s musical production of Disney’s Aladdin. This character has many different shades and it is definitely challenging as well as exciting for me to play this role. Every character I play teaches me something new about theatre. Broadway-style theatre is a new but fast expanding concept in India which I believe will revolutionise the entertainment choices of people.”
Vikrant has previously acted in popular Bollywood films such as Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero, Taj Mahal, Tere Bin Laden; in television shows like Pavitra Rishta, Thief of Baghdad and Ashoka. Known for his deep voice, he has also been a part of various radio plays for BBC and Channel Four.
